Hi, I'm Claire
I am a freelance Surface Pattern Designer & Illustrator based in the UK.
I'm best known for my fresh, colourful & playful surface patterns & prints, which are inspired by the bright colours, sounds, sights & fairground lights of the seaside town I live in.
I've been obsessed with creativity & colour ever since I was able to hold a pair of scissors & a pencil. My love of all things arty & creative grew along with me, sewing, knitting, crochet, drawing, scrapbooking, painting, if it involved creativity I was in! A career in design was inevitable for me and once I discovered Surface Pattern Design everything fell into place & Claire Salisbury Studios was born!
I've been lucky enough to spend every day since doing something that I absolutely LOVE!
In 2017 I started my own studio label because I want to bring colour, sunshine and joy to grey, rainy days (especially Mondays).
All of my surface patterns and products are designed to make you smile every time you see or use them, whether it's using a brightly coloured tea towel whilst you're drying the dishes, or drinking a mug full of tea or snuggling up under the duvet cover on your bed. A bit of colour is good for the soul (like chocolate but without the calories).
Looking for a Surface Pattern Designer?
I'm available for freelance work & commissions, I also love to collaborate so if you would like to work with me please feel free to email me at [email protected] I'd love to discuss possibilities for your latest project with you.
